St Asaph Thursday  - 02 February 2012 Hoggets: An entry of 3008 hoggets returned and average of 203.42p/kilo. The top price hoggets per kilo were 253p achieved twice, once for hoggets weighing 39kg and shown by G P Williams & Co, Bryn Dansi and the second time for 40kg hoggets shown by G Davies, Bron Llan. The top price hoggets per head were £106.50 for hoggets weighing 70kg and shown by T H Roberts, Bachymbyd Bach. The hoggets averaged as follows: S/Lights to 188p/kilo average 187.50p/kilo Lights to 213p/kilo average 196.61p/kilo Stan to 253p/kilo average 203.22p/kilo Med to 253p/kilo average 204.18p/kilo Heavy to 198p/kilo average 187.70p/kilo O/wt to 188p/kilo average 172.76p/kilo Ewes: An entry of 956 ewes averaged £77.96 and the 86 rams £82.40. The top price ewes were £144.00 and shown by E G Thomas, Gloddaeth Isaf. The top price rams were £128.00 and shown by D S Faulkner, Penlan Beef Cattle: The 5 steers on offer averaged 173.96p/kilo and sold to 180p for a steer shown by E W Roberts Tan Yr Ogof. The top price steer per head was £1280.00 and was shown by D W Williams, Orchard House. The 3 heifers on offer averaged 157.50p/kilo and sold to 178p for a heifers shown by T G Davies, Plas Captain who also had the top price overall at £996.80 OTM Cattle: The one cow on offer sold to 119p/kilo.
